Bergensbanen reopened after avalanche – Romsdals Budstikke

– The stretch Myrdal and Mjøfjell is reopened after avalanches. Rail traffic running normally illuminated Rail clock 0:26 Tuesday night.

It was first reported that Bergensbanen would be closed within a day after dagtoget from Oslo ran into a landslide at Mjøfjell Monday.

The locomotive derailed when the train ran into the slide Monday. None of the 200 passengers on board or the driver were injured as a result of the incident. NSB set up buses to bring travelers past mudslide. (© NTB)
