Here towed ferry to land – BergensAvisen

The ferry M / F “Selbjørn Fjord” which runs between Halhjem and Minke in Tysnes got an engine failure and was present at some islets called Gjerslingane outside Venture in Tysnes.

The ferry had aground, but was not stuck due.

Life skate “Bjarne Kyrkjebø» trailed in cooperation with the passenger boat M / S “Rygercruise» ferry into minke ferry dock, where it is the clock 1940.

– There are 31 passengers and six crew members on board, said rescue leader Jan Lillebøe by JRCC in southern Norway.

They are put ashore on ferry dock.

No evacuation

It was not necessary to evacuate the ferry.

– Divers will examine the hull for damage when the ferry comes ashore. It has not been due, but have had aground, said rescue leader Geophysical at JRCC.



Low speed

Life Skates “Kristian Gerhard Jebsen,” “Bjarne Kyrkjebø” and catamaran M / S “Rygercruise” was notified and sent towards the place.

– What I do know is that the ferry has broken down. There has not been any damage to passengers and ferry had very low speed when it had touched ground. The speed should have been 0.2 knots, so probably it is not major damage to the hull, says CEO Grete Fuglem Tennås in FosenNamson Sea.

She says the company’s management has so far given priority to give the crew to work in peace handle the situation.

The ferry departures on Halhjem-Venture set until further notice.
