Police confirmed: Woman charged with murder of woman who has been missing since 2012 – Aftenposten

Police conducted extensive investigations in an apartment in Skien Monday night but would not say anything about the background of the investigations. Now they confirm that it concerns a possible murder.

– A woman in 30s is charged with murder, and a man in his 30s is charged with complicity in bodily harm and to have offset the investigation says police lawyer Guro Siljan in Telemark Police Aftenposten.

An ethnic Norwegian couples in their 30s and a child is lodgers in the apartment which was examined Monday night, according to the Varden.

Woman missed since 2012

The lawyer says that police Sunday received information involving a woman from Skien that has been missing since 2012.

– It is the basis of this information that we have taken out charges against two people. Police have launched an extensive tactical and technical investigation to verify the information that is now coming forward, said Siljan.

The missing woman is neither recovered or found dead.

Police initiate search for the woman of today Tuesday, but will not say anything about what kind of area they are searching. Aftenposten that the woman was affiliated drug environment.

– We have fought three year

When police investigated missed matter in 2012 came not induce any opplysnigner that the missing woman was victim of a crime.

Aftenposten spoke to the missing woman’s partner. He says he repeatedly asked police to launch an investigation.

– The wait has been difficult. We have fought for three years to get help. Police came to visit yesterday and told me who was indicted in the case, said the woman cohabiting Aftenposten.

According to Aftenposten, there is a family relationship between the accused and the missing woman. Police will not yet say anything about their relationship.

Manufactured for custody

The accused prepared for custody in Lower Telemark District Court at 12.30 and 14.00 on Tuesday. Police will ask closed doors because of the risk of destruction of evidence.

– I have to be reticent when it comes to more information about the accused, events or information we have received about the missing woman. We do not want witnesses being influenced by what they read in the press, says police lawyer Siljan.

Police do not rule out further arrests. In a press writes that persons other than the accused may also have been involved.
