Police take self-criticism murder investigation – NRK

– The first investigation is somewhat deficient, admits police attorney Trond Eide.

Police in Hordaland weekend arrested two people. Both are charged with having committed a murder on 23 May 2012 in Salhus in Bergen.

The two men must have drugged, abducted and killed a 44 year old man with an overdose drugs.

– It should have been done more before the case was dismissed, says Trond Eide, who is prosecuting the case.

Eide requesting four weeks detention with full insulation for both of the two accused on 26 and 35 years, which is earlier acquaintance of the police. The reason for his imprisonment is a risk that evidence may be lost.

The police turned out to the scene in 2012 where they found several people and rusede the deceased, who was born in 1970.

– The police were on the spot and it was conducted some research. When the police arrived there were two people present. These are regarded as witnesses in the case. One of these had called AMK and notified, says Eide.

It was believed that there was talk of a drug overdose deaths, and the case was dismissed on 28 November 2012.



This is suspicious

  • The deceased belongings were gone.
  • Witnesses told that there had been more people there, but that these had left the place before police arrived
  • The one accused was the tenant in the apartment where the murder allegedly took place. He would not explain himself to police.
  • The deceased mother has given information to the police and testified that her son had no connection to the site and should not have been there.
  • Before interruption decision came the information, tips or information from two different perspectives, that there could be talking about murder.

Ingrid Aksnes is defending the oldest murder defendant.

– He does not acknowledge guilt for this accusation. I will not go into what was explained behind closed doors in this remand hearing, but he is cooperating with the police in this matter, says Aksnes NRK.



Bureau switched

According to counsel to the deceased’s mother came forward crucial information when police dealt with a different issue, writes BT.

In November last fall, there was a police officer in a management position who took new initiative in the matter. November 25 it was decided to take up again the case, and it was put together a broad group of several police units and tactical investigation management from NCIS.

Now Norwegian Bureau for the Investigation of Police Affairs scrutinize Bergen police handling of the case. It happened after acting Police Chief John Reidar Nilsen even notified unit, according to VG.
