The band was playing in the bow of the boat when they went to the mountain wall: – We … – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): Attach boat “Johanna” went down into the Oslo fjord at Nesoddtangen tonight. All 156 on board were evacuated and rescued from the sinking boat while it took in water.

Charteråten was heading to Oslo when the boat began taking on water. The boat sank at 22.30 o’clock.



– People wonder at us

The band Heigh Chief. stood and played blues rock in front of the boat, when they suddenly began to notice that the crowd behaved a little strange. Vocalist Bjørn Blix reviewing it all as a very special experience.

– People wonder at us, so we turned us, and when we saw that the boat was heading right into a rock wall. The narrow somewhat violently, said Blix, who says that the boat then recoiled backwards.

– Eventually boat began to take in lots of water behind. Shortly after came Redningsselskapet and ambulance. They got all out in rubber boats and took all the land, says Blix.

– Stressed

The band, consisting of Blix, Marcus Løvdal and Lasse Nordby, has obviously not done something similar before. It was a very special appearance.

– First we were just really stressed out, we did not understand what had happened . We thought we would only play on, but we just had to get out, says Blix, who is pleased that also all of the music equipment was rescued by Rescue Society.

He does not know why the boat suddenly went straight to the rock wall.

– People on the shore and fished, tried to shout after us, but suddenly turned the boat right in the rock wall, said Blix, who says that some were frightened, but that everything fortunately overall themselves.

According to Norway Yacht Charter AS is “Johanna” a sailing ship from 1892. the company states Dagbladet that the boat is listed.
