Collaboration parties is 130 billion in the pot to a veiselskap who will be responsible for major road projects over longer distances.
The company will plan, build, operate and maintain stretches of road in the next 20 years. Each project will be financed through public-private partnerships, called OPS.
– Exciting county
Currently, no projects from Østfold placed in the plan, but it does not mean that the county can not get anything out of it, says the head of the transport committee in Oslo, Olav Moe.
– We have proposed that the administration can be added to Østfold. It remains to see what the minister and the ministry thinks about it, but we are open to having a veiselskap in our county.
Moreover, he says that they are going to work to get the company Østfold.
– Østfold is slightly tapped for government jobs. The more government jobs, the better it is for us. We think Østfold has an exciting location as the host county for state jobs. Should it be necessary, it is warmly welcome here.
Also Progress Håvard Jensen has previously advocated that veiselskapet be placed in Østfold.
– There are Østfold’s trip. We are in shortage of many thousand jobs down here, we have people and knowledge and also surely localities, Jensen said to NRK earlier this year.

The new organization will ensure that roads are built stretch respectively, and not piecemeal, says Transport Minister Ketil Solvik-Olsen (FRP).
– We have seen that for many major road project is divided up into small allotments for annual allocations, which NPRA itself is frustrated, says Solvik-Olsen.
Olav Moe believes the new organization sounds reasonable.
– Many costs such projects are related to that one does not get developed holistically. Man stops projects and start up again. It is clear that there are resource intensive. The fact that you get to take greater distances in a context is enough really utilization.
