Bus Driver acquitted of manslaughter in Bergen – Sunnmørsposten

The judges struck Monday determined that the driver was not negligent, and that he could not face the possibility of an accident, writes BergensAvisen.

The 25-year old driver refused culpability when his trial began in early March.

It was 23 February 2014 that a 26 year old man died when he was hit by a privately owned bus, called party bus. The accident happened in Olav Kyrre street in Bergen at the mall Xhibition.

Neither the driver or passengers discovered the fatal accident before the bus was stopped by police. The bus had a number of errors and omissions and were separated on site. (© NTB)
