– We have had the immediate family and witnesses, people who have been in the area, built for questioning. There are some witnesses that are interesting, we received interesting information, said police inspector Grete Lien Metlid Oslo police inspector told NRK.

Still no suspected or arrested in the case.

The murdered man, a Norwegian-Pakistani father in the 40s, was found in a parking lot at Lindeberg school in Oslo just after midnight on Saturday.

On Saturday morning found a hiker a two-handed weapon equipped with silencers, in the area.

– We connect weapon case, but can not yet say now that it is the murder weapon. We have also made other interesting discoveries at the site, says Metlid, without wanting to give fuller details.

No main theory

The investigation has been in full swing Saturday.

– We have gone through the results of the autopsy and crime scene investigations. I can not go into detail about what they show, but I can say that they have confirmed what we knew in advance, namely that the victim is shot and killed. And we believe the murder where the man was found, said Metlid.

Police inspector informs that progress made in the investigation, but adds that the police do not currently have a breakthrough or some main theory for the murder.

– We map everything possible around the deceased, his movements, his history and acquaintances, but we have no major theories. So we still have a way to go, but have made interesting discoveries and obtained useful information, says Metlid.

Have victim reviewed to have been threatened in advance of the murder?

Was convicted of attempted murder

Police said early that they had no reason to believe that the murdered man was a random victim. One of the tracks police jobs along, should be that the murder could be revenge for an incident mid 90s. Norwegian-Pakistani Oslo District Court in October 1997 sentenced to eight years in prison for three assassination attempts.

The police Saturday have been in contact with the three attempted killed.

The police have also secured footage from surveillance cameras in the area. One of the cameras near the scene pointing straight toward where the man was found murdered. Police will not yet say whether the killing is in some of the recordings.
