Came home from work to burned houses: – Thought “What do I do now, like?” – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): Klaus-Magnus Halvorsen (25) pulled from the farm he lives on, in Hurdal Akershus and at work as usual Monday this week.

When he came home later in the afternoon, his house gone.

During the day it had burned down, without anyone noticing.

– Everything was gone. The smoke not once, and only ruins and foundations remained. I parked the car and was standing straight up and down and look at elendigheta, says Halvorsen Dagbladet.

– Were not believed

– After a while, I called a friend who works in fire department. “Good day,” he said. “No, that is not it, for my house has burned down,” I replied, continuing 25-year-old, who has also spoken to Rome Blad about the event.

His friend thought at first not at him. Perhaps not surprising since it belongs rare that a house is totally destroyed in a fire without a single person discovers it.

– I thought, “What do I do now, somehow?” It was no point in getting the fire department up on the farm, for the fire was extinguished and the house gone. So I called the police instead, which eventually believed in me and came.

– Quite especially

He says that he lives a couple miles from the main road.

– I live a bit isolated, but high up, so someone ought to have seen something. But nobody did it. It’s pretty special. I can not believe it is possible that a fire can go unnoticed, says Halvorsen.

25-year-old is educated and works as a carpenter, and says that he has spent countless hours brushing the house that is now gone.

– It is slightly bitter, he said.

Not quite homeless

– The house was distinctive and had many fine old installations. Also went there with three antique cabinet in the fire, he continued.

It is perhaps a consolation at all, is that the 25 year old has not been completely homeless during the week.

– I did not live in the main house, but in Kaarboes on the farm. So I still have a place to stay, and what I need – except water. The pumping system was destroyed in the fire, and I hope it works out quickly to get it back, he says and adds:

– It still feels a bit unreal this, but now I have at least come me after the worst shock.
