Man accused of having allowed dogs chase bears – Nationen

Police were tipped off about the case of Norwegian Nature, who believe that the man practiced hunting to train hunting dogs.

– Strays following and chasing a bear interfering bear chance to find food and get in once bodily functions. In such situations, we risk that both bears, dogs and others involved can be damaged. Meanwhile, reduced in many cases bear kids’ chances of survival, says Head of predators in Norwegian Nature, Lars Bendik Austmo, VG.

Police Attorney in Inland police, Henning Klauseie, say they have charged a person who owns several dogs.

– He is not questioned yet, but we’ve been at his house and seized in various GPS equipment, says Klauseie.
