Left has the least loyal voters – NRK

– We have to be better to hold on voters ours, acknowledges Liberal leader Trine Skei Grande.

On NRK party barometer for April has left a response rate of 4.6 percent, compared with 5.2 in parliamentary elections in 2013. Background the figures show that the Liberals have much to gain from winning back voters they have lost.

Many unsafe

only 48 percent of respondents who voted Left three years ago , say they will vote the same at the next election. In comparison, the Center Party, which had the most loyal voters among parliamentary parties, a loyalty of 81 percent.

Left also has the highest proportion of undecided voters. 27 percent of those who said they voted for Left in 2013, saying that they do not know whom to vote for.

– We are obviously very good at attracting new voters, and not just good to keep them, says Grande.

She believes Left must get better at explaining own voters “where good results they get if they voted for us.” Meanwhile, she said that the party must realize that their voters are more wobbly than others.

– As a liberal centrist located in the center of Norwegian politics, so we have to find ourselves in having a larger flow in and out than the other traditional wing portions. We’re going to have a slightly lower loyalty than others, she said.

Going to Ap

The analysis part political science professor, Bernt Aardal. Liberal voters are simply not very reliable what party preference concerns.

– There are urban, highly educated voters who really can tilt slightly both ways. For example, was about a third of Liberal voters at the last general election earlier Labour voters. But these voters have largely gone back to Labour after the 2013 election.

The poll Norstat conducted for NRK shows that 13 percent of those who voted Liberal Party in 2013, the voice just Ap if there was an election tomorrow.

Thursday could NRK tell that a lot of local Left-tops fear that cooperation with FRP cost the party many voters . Also Aardal believes the role of supporting party for Right / FRP government can make choosing the hunt even more difficult for the Liberals to come.

– To be a support party for a government on important issues is located away from Left, there is another additional challenge in this time here. And it does not only concern environmental policy but also in refugee and asylum issues, he said.

According Grande risks party losing voters no matter which way they go.

– I think everyone cooperation affects loyalty. Whoever one collaborates, there will be some who do not like it.
