– It’s not the first time he is making threats to get what he wants, says former spokesperson Hilde Opoku after Environment Party congress patted into Rasmus Hansson preferred candidate.

MDG has a female and a male spokesperson. Straight ahead of the leader election of female spokesperson on Environment Party congress Saturday, came current frontman and spokesman Rasmus Hansson with ultimatum on who should be his lead partner – if he is to continue to lead the party.

From the Chairman table the MDGs National Congress was informed that Hansson came to his position as MDG spokesperson available if election committee to female spokesperson, Une Aina Bastholm, are not followed.

And the congress included setting: Bastholm was elected with 142 votes, while Lengali only got 58 votes. But congress punished Hansson by giving him 67 abstentions. It accounts for about a third of the convention.

Opoku: Hansson has threats of working

The outgoing spokesperson Hilde Opoku believes Hansson to ask ultimatum threatened party to get what he wanted.

She also says Hansson has used threats against the party for a long time to get what he wants:

– I can confirm that there is a common way of working for Rasmus Hansson. I think it’s extremely undemocratic. Both setting ultimatums and come with untimely inquiries, says Opoku to Our Country.

– In what contexts has he done it before?

– My experience is that it can be in large and small. Whether it’s with us or against us. Whether it’s with us or against us, consistently, responding Opoku.

Threatened in enclosed spaces

Opoku is sick and not present at the Congress. Prior to the congress, she went out that she has had major cooperation problems Hansson, and was highly critical of his management style.

The outgoing spokesperson said she was surprised that Hansson this time went so openly to push party people. She says she has been more accustomed to that he’s good to do it in a confined space.

– Has it been used threats in the process of nominating a candidate for female spokesperson?

– In relation to female spokesperson, there has been strong oppmodninger to vote on Une sent out. But in other contexts I have experienced Rasmus fight fire where it does not belong.

Similar ultimatum earlier

Faced with NTB says sources that Hansson has issued similar ultimatum to other party organs also earlier in the process.

There is unrest in parts of the party that it is becoming too centralized and Hansson have lack of understanding of democratic processes.

Also opposite Our Country sources said centrally located in the party that the process that has led to the nomination committee shall have been heavily based on guidance from Hansson.

In an interview with Our Land says Rasmus Hansson himself that he does not agree that the ultimatum his was a threat to the national congress to get what he wants.

– I have given very clear information both orally and in writing to both the National Board and the candidate Hilde Lengali about this well before the congress. The information that was given before the election was a confirmation of something that was given long ago. And in accordance with the articles of association MDGs particles that duo should be selected so Nomination Committee has proposed a pair of conductors, because it is important that we have a good cooperative conductor pairs. I have constantly interacted with.

– Hilde Opoku said that threats are a common way of working from your side. What do you say to that?

– The type of comments I have no comment to.

– But it’s quite serious allegations?

– When I refer to that a very large majority chose me and Une Aina Bastholm as leaders in the party. That’s what matters to me.

– Yet voted one of three in the congress hall shiny then they should vote on your candidacy?

– I must just take note and work with. And for the first hearing what people think should be improved. And so we will improve it. And so it is not certain that everyone in the audience had just reasons to vote as they voted. And otherwise has the audience and the party at any time had the opportunity to ask counter proposal to me.

– You mean the process of selecting new female spokesperson has been democratic?

– It has been completely to the letter in accordance with our electoral system and our laws, and based on a very thorough recommendation from our nomination. And the setting has both the female spokesperson Une and I compared us to the smallest detail.
