Anundsen boasted volunteering in Easter mountain – Romsdals Budstikke

For the second consecutive year visited Anundsen Red Cross’ information center in the heart of the Norwegian mountains at Easter. Also this year he boasted of efforts being made by NGOs.

– We have so far a good public preparedness. But it is impossible to deliver a public emergency near the scale and resources that the volunteers are mobilizing says Anundsen phone said.

Also mayor of Gol Hallvor Little Light and Red Cross president Sven Mollekleiv was present at the event, which was part of the commemoration of the organization’s 150th anniversary.

– The Red Cross was created because so that the public was not enough in a number of areas. Whilst it was possible to get engaged volunteers to do this kind of work, says FRP minister.

He recalls that the weather in the Easter mountains can change rapidly, and that it is important to take responsibility for their own safety when one exploring nature.

So far this Easter there have been few serious incidents in the mountains. Thursday was a man sent to hospital with broken bones after he was taken by an avalanche at Stranda Sunnmøre.

A little earlier in the day was initiated exploration action after an avalanche in Rondane, but nothing suggests that some were taken by this slide.
