In Trondheim and ten other cities in Norway demonstrated thousands of people against the verdict which acquitted the three men in a controversial rape case. In the sun at the market square in Trondheim there were about 500 who showed up, after Adresseavisens estimates.

Hemsedal case has circulated in social and traditional media in the days after the enforceable judgment in which three adult men were acquitted of rape against the then 18 year old Andrea Voldum from Hemsedal, became known. Legdommerne have not felt convinced that men should have understood that the heavily doped girl did not want to have sex with them. Voldum has since even posted the name of the three acquitted men. On the market square Monday afternoon nobody outet those acquitted. But while there were many who expressed both anger, frustration and fear.

– I’m a girl and I’m fight pissed. This is not an isolated case, this is something happens too often in Norwegian courts, said Kari Kristensen, representative of the organizers.
– They will not get peace
There was a significant majority of women, but there were also many men present.
– we will not be met by peers in the courtroom, we are greeted by old-fashioned morality. This is detrimental to both women and men, we could not go on after party with our good friends? Not to talk about with family fathers. Should we have to live in fear, asked Kristensen.
Kvinnefronten was the organizer, but had not received support from a number of organizations in Trondheim. Female Frontal Astri Holm was glad the broad support.

– There is no legal protection for women. Women are not believed, she said in her speech. The demonstration ended with a long applause for Andrea Voldum.
– Swing for the brave Andrea, we are behind you! You should know how many we were here today, said Holm joined:
– They will not get peace.
