(Dagbladet): Police were yesterday warned about what will be an unnatural death at Snåsa nursing home in Nord-Trondelag.
There were nurses on duty and municipal doctor who raised the alarm about the death yesterday afternoon .
– It was not expected that the patient would die there and then, so death was so unexpected, says councilor Truls Eggen in Snåsa Dagbladet.
He said the deceased was an elderly woman. Otherwise he reticent with information on the case.
In a statement police said Trøndelag that they have started investigating the case.
– There is a suspicion that the cause of death is wrong medication, and investigation is underway. Crime Technicians have done research on the place and it made several interrogations, writes police press release.
It says that it will be carried out the autopsy of the woman.
the municipality considers the incident as serious – and has put a crisis team.
– Our focus now is to ensure the protection of both their families and the affected staff, said Councilman Eggen, who said that a total of four people were on duty at the relevant department of the nursing home when the death occurred.
Fylkeslegen are informed about the case – and Snåsa municipality has already requested that the County starts investigation in connection with the death.
