Seriously injured after stabbing in downtown Trondheim – NRK

The police was notified about the stabbing 0:50 Saturday night, and the incident allegedly took place at the bottom of Nordre gate.

– Two people came to a car parked at the bottom of Nordre gate. It has been a quarrel and fight, and we have arrested two people for stabbing, says Wenche Johnsen at crime guard in Trondheim told NRK.

The police have arrested two people in the case and have interrogated more witnesses in the case. The perpetrators are not questioned yet, but police say they have good control over the matter.



Famous not each other from before

The victim and the perpetrators should not have known each other from before.

– They arrested are 16 and 19 years, and is of foreign origin. They are known to the police before, says Johnsen told NRK.

Operations in South Trøndelag Police, Trond Volden, says that police confiscated a knife at the scene and that they got the message stabbing when the victim was on his way to hospital.

Serious but stable

NTB writes that the victim’s ethnic Norwegian and 20s, and that he was stabbed repeatedly in the torso.

The man was urgent surgery at St. Olav’s Hospital, but should not be life-threatening injured. In a press release from St. Olav’s Hospital says that the injuries are serious, but the condition is stable.
