Traffic accident in Arendal – NRK

The incident was reported to clock 16.40. Accident is located at Upper Longumvann north of Arendal center.

Three cars and a motorcycle were involved in the accident.

Two people described as critically injured after traffic accident on the E18 in Arendal. Two other people are slightly injured, police said. None of them were trapped in some of the cars.

A of the cars will have come across the opposite lane and hit another vehicle in front.

Detective accident

Right after 17.30 was E18 opened in one field at longum. Not long after notified police that traffic would be released by accident again and that E18 thus opened, but at 18 o’clock became European road closed again.

Police believe it is not safe to have traffic on the road while people working on site. Traffic being until further directed past the accident site, while NPRA accident and police crime technicians doing research.

It will take two to three hours before working at the scene is finished.

It was established detour between junction 71, Harebakken Crossed, via county road 410 and 124 to Dale Crossing, north of the accident site.

The Way is closed by accident after having been opened. It takes Crime technical investigations on the spot.

Witnesses saw the accident

Police preliminary information about what happened based on witness descriptions.

They go out that a car must have come across in the opposite lane and hit another car that has spun around. The latter car has so hit a motorcycle and then have the first car hit a third car in front.

Three patients have been sent to Southern hospitals Arendal.

The hospital says at 18.30 o’clock that there are still unresolved for one of the men who were involved in the accident. The condition for a woman is serious but stable. The wounds of another man is described as moderate.
