Trailer with live fish overturned – NRK

The police was notified of the crash in time 8:50 Sunday morning. The trailer, which was heading to Freya, overturned on county road 714 in Orkdal.

According to the driver weighs trailer 40 tons and was loaded with live fish.

The trailer was one of the transport company SG Trans AS trailers. The managing director of the firm, Stig Collin Jenssen says that the driver and the patient has not been hospitalized.

– They are pretty battered, but they escaped major damage, and it is the most important says Jenssen.

the trailer was loaded with wrasse being used on fish farms to get rid of lice. Pisces are now being handled by authorized personnel.

– The fish are cared for by qualified personnel, which ensures that fish welfare is safeguarded by current laws and regulations, says Jenssen.

According to Jenssen, it is up to them to decide whether the fish will be used for its really purposes.
