Fugitive from Kristiansand Prison taken after a week on the run – TV 2

The man was arrested by Hesland north of Mandal in Vest-Agder after a major armed police raid. The police had brought two-handed weapons and eight patrol cars participating in the operation.

But the man did not give up at first.

– He tried to get away and hid in a nearby house belonging to the property, said operations manager Magne Storaker College police.

Now he taken to jail in Kristiansand, and will eventually be transferred back to atonement in Kristiansand prison.

– We will investigate whether he has made any offenses while he’s been out, says Storaker.

Took running speed and escaped

46-year-old escaped from Kristiansand prison on 6 June, when he was in a courtyard with a prison officer.

– He was working in a backyard, took running speed and jumping over a fence.

Prison Director Harald Tønnesen has to NRK announced that they will go through their routines .

Police have campaigned repeatedly to obtain the man, and been close to him several times.



Sentenced 22 times

According Fædrelandsvennen put the man inside for threatened two police officers with firearms. For there he was eleven months in prison, and was supposed to be released in August.

He has been convicted 22 times previously, and the police stating that he is an acquaintance in connection with violence, drug and reclamation issues.

Police underlined when the escape became known that he posed no danger to the public.
