A man in his mid-20s has been arrested and charged under the Reviewed assault rape in Trysil center on Friday night.
– Just after four o’clock Sunday afternoon arrested we have a man in mid-20s who lives in Trysil said sheriff in Trysil Sondre Grønstad said.
It was witness observations at a bar in Trysil and witnesses who led police to the man. He will be questioned on Sunday evening and will be examined by a doctor and forensics. Grønstad will not yet say what he is charged with.
– Obviously, this is a harrowing event for the local community. It’s not a large community, says Grønstad.
The young woman does not even live in Trysil. Police would not comment on whether she knew the accused man before.
The rape allegedly took place on the stretch between Trysil center and Øråneset, police said. Hedmark Police District wants to get in touch with people who stayed in the area on Friday night July 25th between 3:00 and 4:10 o’clock. Police still want tips in the case.
