– Au pair program is broken and should be discontinued.
It believes the Centre Party Marit Arnstad.
– If wealthy families in Norway wants a maid, then they get to be honest about it and pay the price it costs. Au pair program has evolved into a system where one obtains cheap labor to Norway, and then I think it should be abolished, says Sps parliamentary leader Dagsavisen.
Arnstad alerts that Q will put forward a proposal prohibition scheme when parliament reopens in the autumn. She now hope that other parties will support the proposal.
– We note that trade unions are critical of the scheme, and believes there should be hope that we can get support from other parties. Whatever it will be sensible with a debate on this in Parliament, says Arnstad. (AFP)
