Police said the three were arrested Sunday night.

– Three men under age 20 are arrested and charged in the case. They will be questioned during the morning, said operations manager Kai Myklebust in Sogn og Fjordane police to BT Monday morning.

The incident allegedly took place in conjunction with the annual rock festival Malakoff, which was held this weekend. Police in a press release Sunday evening that they received a review Sunday morning.

Police characterize the case as “very serious”.

BT initially got wind of the incident when police blocked off sections of a sidewalk just off the festival site. Later in the day was even an area blocked off, in an alley at the rear of a building in the center.
– We are in dialogue with the police all the time, but have not heard anything more about this event, says Arnt Ivar Naustdal festival responsible for Malakoff.
The festival manager explains that the management of Malakoff’s focus to assist the police in any way they can.
– We think all those big and small Nuisance is very regrettable. If there has been a rape, it’s incredibly sad, says Henjesand.
Guards outside the festival site
It was hired police officers, professional guards and volunteers who patrolled inside the festival and surrounding areas at the weekend.
– We had a volunteer group which concentrated on the grounds. The guards walk around the whole municipality, also in the center, says Henjesand.
– The most important for us is that everyone should have a good time at the festival. We will always focus on the festival to be as safe as possible, says festival director.
