Missing 14-year-old found safe and sound – VG

A German boy (14) was on Wednesday found after being missing since 15 o’clock.

After the 14- old came out of his traveling companions on 16 German people when they landed on a peninsula, was set in motion a larger search party.

At 1:45 police said that the boy is found by Buret Ores of crews from the Red Cross.

– He had married into a hut where he was sleeping when he was found. He was in good condition and is now reunited with the company, said operations manager Jon Erik Nygård in Østfold police told VG.

The boy was missing from the west side of the lake Store Le in Aremark on the border between Norway and Sweden in Østfold county.

– The travel companion had had a raft and been on an organized tour when they disembarked. The boy came away from the others, and we believe that he may have gone astray, told Operations Lars Stenrød VG while exploration campaign yet unfolded.

The exploration area consisted of large forest areas with very steep and rugged terrain, police said.

The police searched for the boy with ATV and assistance of Red Cross and Norwegian Rescue Dogs. A police helicopter and boy traveling companions also helped in the search until it got dark.
