Police rescued baby in hot car – NRK

– We did notice around half past five on a baby who had been seen screaming in a paying car park in Hønefoss. We tried to make contact with the car owner without success, says Espen Sola, operations manager in Northern Buskerud Police District told NRK.

Parking fee emanated 17.50, but police did not think it was prudent that baby lay there alone.

– We broke our route and got out the baby who was checked by paramedics, says Sola.

At 17.50 parents came back to the car and being greeted by police.

– The should act in a mall nearby and said it took longer than expected, says Sola.

The parents have got the baby back, and the case is forwarded to child welfare and health.

Police stressed that it is totally irresponsible to leave a baby alone in the car.

– Do not leave children or pets in the car during the summer. This is completely irresponsible, even if the car stood in the shade it is warm enough. It is nevertheless not easy to go from a baby in eight months, says Sola.

The car had been parked by the clock 17.01. Police went out with information about the case a scanty hour later.
