(Dagbladet): A man in his 20s has died after a canoe accident in Storvatnet in Namdalseid in Nord-Trondelag. The police said on Twitter.
The police was notified of the canoe at Velten. 15.28 in the afternoon. There were three people in the canoe overturned.
– Two of them made it to land. The third was found about after one hour. He was found at about two meters deep of the fire department, says Stig Rune Sagen, operations manager at Nord-Trøndelag Police District.
The man was flown in Seaking helicopter to St. Olav in Trondheim. But at. 20.34 could police inform that the man had died.
The deceased is from Namdalseid.
The two others who were in the canoe was driven by ambulance to hospital in Brasov for control.
Police do not yet know what caused overturned.
– We need to talk with the survivors and investigate what happened at the forefront, said Sagen.
