Cappelen prosecuted for selling and storing 1.3 tons of hashish – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet / NTB): Gjermund Cappelen is indicted for organized drug crime and storage and sale of 1.3 tonnes of hashish, reports Aftenposten.

Also, seven others are accused in the case.

According to the newspaper is Gjermund Cappelen pointed out as principal in what will be a network for the purchase, storage and sale of very large amounts of hashish.

One of the charges on the storage of 476 kg of hashish which should have been stored in two different locations in Asker and Oslo. Cappelen and three other men are accused of this.

Cappelens defender, Benedict de Vibe, said his client will plead guilty when the case begins in court on September 14.

– His stance is that he acknowledges guilt. This indictment is based on four importations which he has explained to police that he takes responsibility for, they say Vibe, Aftenposten.

The police also requires that Gjermund Cappelen must repay 54 million dollars which, according to the indictment should be proceeds of drug business.

– I do not know how they arrived at that sum, but takes it into consideration, says Cappelen defender, Aftenposten

This indictment against Cappelen applies according to the newspaper only storage and sale of hashish, not importation.

The scheduled treated later in another case where also the former police leader Eric Jensen is accused of gross corruption and drug business.

– This indictment’s really a small part of the whole affair. One must see it up against the 25 tonnes which in reality are introduced over a number of years, they say Vibe Aftenposten.
