Less money to school and kindergarten – Clear Voice

Less money to school and kindergarten – Clear Voice

70 percent of the country’s municipalities are planning to cut in supply to daycare. They get between 1 and 5 percent less money. 80 percent will cut as much for primary school. It shows a new survey by Education Association.

280 municipalities responded to the survey.

Poor economy in municipalities is the main reason for the cuts. Ragnhild Lied is the leader in the union. She is concerned:

– Once again it is schools and kindergartens which must bear the savings in the municipalities. We have seen this trend over several years now, says Lied news agency NTB.

There are fewer rights for schools and kindergartens. It is compared with such child. It is the cause of development, believes Lied.

It is urgent to establish rules for how many need to be at work in school and daycare, she says.
