All verdicts in the last Unibuss case appealed – HegnarOnline

The last one has filed an appeal against the judgment of Oslo District Court in early December, the former technical director Nils Ellingsen. With five and a half years in prison, he received the strictest penalty in the case.

– My client has appealed against the sentence, and parts of confiscation and compensation to Unibuss AS, says Ellingsen defender, Fredrik Sollie, VG . Ellingsen was convicted of having received large bribes from the German bus manufacturer Man and having paid for private renovation with money from Unibuss. Ellingsen confirmed in court that he had received bribes.

The caretaker in Unibuss was sentenced to nine months imprisonment, the shortest sentence. For his part, the judgment significantly milder than the prosecutor’s assertion of two years, and he did not want a new right round.

– I can confirm that my client not anchor, but the prosecution has appealed the sentence, says lawyer Arne Gunnar Aas.

Beyond the six that must now rely on a round the Court of Appeal, a number of other persons convicted of minor matters relating to corruption case. (© NTB)
