Indicted 50-year-old before his arrest – I touched him – VG

Two men and a woman have been charged with murder after a man in the 50s on Monday night was found dead in an apartment at Ekeberg in Oslo.

It was at 2:15 on Monday night that the man in the 50s was found dead in a communal apartment. Findings on site means that police believe they face a murder.

A 25-year-old man was shortly after charged with murder, and during Monday afternoon was further two people – a man (50) and a woman in their 40s – arrested.

– They were arrested this afternoon and are both charged with murder or complicity this says Grete Metlid, chairman of violence – and moral section of the Oslo police, told VG.

After what VG knows, the three accused have stayed in the current apartment together with the deceased night to Sunday. During the night there shall have occurred a quarrel and later a brawl.

The accused 50-year-old will be the only one that has connection to the apartment in Ekeberg Skrenten. VG spoke with the man before he was arrested by police.

– I touched him. I panicked and ran away, said 50-year-old when he talked with VG on Monday morning.

VG had an agreement to meet the man Monday afternoon, but he never showed up at the agreed meeting place .

The accused 25-year-old should have explained to police that he was in the current apartment early Sunday. He argues, however, that the deceased was alive when he left the apartment, getting VG enlightened.

Defender Thor Bache-Wiig would not comment on this information.

– My client does not acknowledge guilt for having something that this person died, said Bache-Wiig.

Previously convicted

Police want the sake of the investigation did not to go into details.

– The investigation is in a preliminary stage, and two of the accused is not yet questioned. It is therefore too early to say anything about what happened in the apartment, possible motive or cause of death, saying Metlid.

The suspect 25-year-old has a long drug history, and has previously been convicted several times.

As recently as November 2013 he was sentenced to community service for gain and possession of drugs.

The verdict from Kristiansand District Court described a childhood and adolescence marked by intoxication.
