– I can confirm that PST has made investigations in a case suggesting that Polar Institute has been the victim of a network-based intelligence operation, says Arne Christian Haug Stølsvatnet, Head of Section for state actors in PST, TV2.
– Based on how advanced this operation has been so requires a player with large capacity. We are reasonably confident that it is a state actor behind, says Haug Stølsvatnet.
– We have enough, as many others, had irregularities against our firewall. What is difficult is to know where it comes from and how severe it is, says Polar Institute director Jan-Gunnar Winther.
