The accident occurred when a portion of a steel pipe, weighing between 5 and 6 tonnes, loose and fell on the man, police said to NRK.
Paramedics began resuscitation when they arrived accident. After half an hour, the man was transported to Stavanger University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival, enlightened Rogaland police at 18.15 o’clock.
The accident happened on a Bahamas-registered ship moored at Strandkaien in central Stavanger.
– The captain of the ship is informed. He performs
notifications according to procedures of the company, police said on Twitter.
