In an interview with NRK said Krekar that there are Muslims right to kill those who insult Prophet cartoons. He further said that he was glad it happened in France when two armed men attack the editors to satire magazine Charlie Hebdo, killing eleven people.
– They defended their honor. They defended their sanctuary. They were heroes, said Krekar among other things.
– This has nothing to do with Islam, says leader of the Islamic Association, Basim Ghozlan NRK.
He fears that other Muslims may be affected by it Krekar says, but that they must now do everything they can to prevent it. He calls Krekar statements exorbitant.
– We must go against what he says using theological argumentation, we must show how wrong his thinking is. It Krekar stands for, is a disastrous extremism that destroys society peace, he said.
Sheikh Mahmoud Jalloul in sjiamoskeen Tauheed in Oslo believe Mullah Krekar based on a misinterpretation of the Koran.
He believes the vast majority of Muslims in Norway deplore it Krekar stands for.
– We Muslims believe that the Qur’an is sacred, but interpretation is not sacred. For interpretation depends on education, and it is a long process to interpret the Quran. It is not anybody who can make this decision, says Jalloul. (© NTB)
