Indicted for rape in military camp – not acknowledge guilt – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): Just before six o’clock this morning got Hedmark police message that a woman should have been raped in Rena camp in the night.

A man in their 20s were arrested and indicted in the case earlier today. He has been questioned during the day, before he was released in the afternoon.

– The man does not acknowledge guilt, says police lawyer Stine Rigmor Grimstad Hedmark Police Dagbladet.

– The reason why we now frees him, because we has made investigation and interrogation. We have no grounds to keep him on, and there is no danger of destruction of evidence, she says.

According to her accusation against him rather than weakened strengthened by today’s tactical investigation. It is automatically charges in a case when police request a person by force.

– There is no suspicion of any false statement or something. But there is something we do not want to go into detail so early in the investigation, she said.

Grimstad said police will continue the tactical investigation, which also involves the examination of witnesses. It is not decided whether the aggrieved woman in their 20s, who testified earlier today, will through several interrogations.

The accused man serving at the military camp in Åmot Hedmark. The woman shall not have any connection to the camp with about 2,000 soldiers.

Police prosecutor confirms that there has been contact between the two, but for the sake of the investigation she did not want to go into what kind of contact it is about.
