Climbers stuck in Hemsedal – rescued in the night – Aftenposten

The three climbers who got stuck on a ledge on Skogshorn Hemsedal is now kept safely down the mountain. The police said to NRK.

Police describes rescue efforts somsvært challenging.

The time 20.18 Tuesday evening notified police in Northern Buskerud that they work together with the air ambulance and Langfjella alpine rescue team to save down the three climbers.

– the plan is to lift the climbers from the rescue group of them and get them to a suitable place, said operations manager Tom Richard Jansen in South-East police a little before at 21 according to NRK.

Just before the clock 01 on Wednesday notified the police on Twitter that the rescue group was promoting in the three climbers and had started lowering.

Skogshorn rises 1728 meters above sea level and is located in Hemsedal municipality. The mountain is a popular destination for both hikers and climbers.
