LO boss call off wage fixing – HegnarOnline

LO boss call off wage fixing – HegnarOnline

– There is uncertainty about future prospects. We have sectors where there is pretty tough at the moment, with layoffs and layoffs, explaining LO leader.

Kristiansen comes with the following message, both to its own members and to the negotiating counterpart NHO:

– I am very clear in saying that no one can expect some reward party this year. I think that it is important to say, now at the forefront of that we go to the negotiating table.

Salary Conclusion
Ramp to this year’s wage starting next week.

Monday comes the preliminary report of the Technical Calculation Committee for Wage Settlements (TRC). Here we get the gold standard for how it really went with wages last year.

One idea we got Wednesday, when Statistics Norway announced that they have calculated wage growth last year to 3.1 percent – the lowest level since 1978.

Tuesday collected LO Representatives for formally adopting the requirements.

Responsible
Kristiansen emphasizes that TBU figures are important when LO decides year requirements.

– We do not expect to see very high numbers when TBU come Monday. Then we harmonize this with other figures, and nothing is settled before we sit at the negotiating table and sign the protocol. But we must do our part to not put Norwegian jobs at risk. We are known to unravel through the front subject, she says to NTB.

All for low paid
wage settlement dragged started March 16 with LO’s unions in the private sector , Unions – and NHO heavyweight Norwegian Industry. It is these negotiations referred to as front subject, because the outcome here will largely govern the rest of the wage settlement.

The United Federation leader Arve Bakke believes that this year’s addition should go to those who have least.

– If it is so that the signals indicate that there is room for more than between 25 and 50 cents in addition, I think that it should go to the low-paid, says Bakke said.

Ground adding that hardly any basis for strike if the dispute is about 25 cents in general as well.

Olsen warned
Also Governor Øystein Olsen has advocated for a careful wage this year.

– After many years with a special Norwegian wage growth, the costs here at home again to fit the level of our trading partners, he said in annual address its Thursday night.

– The social partners have a particular responsibility, he said – accompanied by a warning that high wage growth can lead to high interest rates, a stronger exchange rate and rising unemployment.

Only about wages
This year’s settlement is a so-called interim settlement. This means that employees and employers only wage negotiations.

Other questions – such as whether pension agreements shall become part of the collective agreements in the private sector – will not on the table again until next year.

An assessment LO peaks will do Tuesday is about a moderate addition this year will provide more going on in the main settlement next year. (© NTB)
