One person is dead and one is seriously injured after a traffic accident between a car and three cyclists, writes Raumarike police on Twitter. The other riders are sent to medical facility for examination, but must have come from the accident unharmed.
Five cyclists should have cycled in packs when the accident occurred. Racers must have been hit on the county road 176 at Gardermoen, police said.
Two ambulance and several ambulances were sent to the spot, said duty officer Per-Åge Mortensen at Rome’s 110 call center. Also the fire department came out.
The vehicle that hit the three riders must police have run from the spot after the accident. Police has control of the car and driver afterwards, and according to Rome Blad is suspected driving under the influence.
