Bakkane is somewhere near the accident site. The deceased was a German man in his 20s.
A woman from Luxembourg was with the German man when he fell. She is now being cared for by a crisis team.
The man was declared on site o’clock 1557.
FELL IN WATERFALL
Divers from the fire department in Hordaland was sent to Gudvangen Monday.
According Operations Rimmen found the man and woman in the terrain when the accident happened.
There must have been some time before emergency services were alerted to fall accident, the cause was that the rest of the tour mates had to take down the mountain before they could raise the alarm.
FULL ALARM
The message was received by the police watch in 1407, and it was turned full emergency alarm. Divers from the fire brigade, helicopters, police, ambulance, Red Cross, alpine rescue groups with more were sent to the place.
The accident must have happened in the mountain at 4-500 meters, and it should have been at times difficult wind conditions for the air ambulance. For a while it was believed that it would not be able to pull the man out.
