The police was notified of the explosion clock 08.10, writes Aftenbladet.no.

The explosion happened in a grain silo in Lower Court Street in Stavanger. A witness said he heard a loud bang when it happened.
Both the police and the fire brigade is on site.
– Cause of the explosion is unknown. It was relatively strong and led to the damage of the concrete, broken windows and a pressure hatch on top probably landed at sea, says operations manager Trygve Ravndal of Rogaland police.
The police have cordoned off the area.
– There is a lot of smoke. No people were injured, but an ambulance is on site, says Ravndal.
They have not yet managed to get in touch with the owner of the grain silo.
