PST concerned IS sympathizers in Sor-Trondelag – Sunnmørsposten

It informs Terje Lunde, Head of PST in Oslo, to Adresseavisen.

PST in Oslo confirmed earlier this spring across Adresseavisen that they’re more radicalized individuals in Trøndelag. They do not want to specify how many they have in the spotlight, or say anything about age, gender and ethnicity of the people they had ever concern interview.

In addition to concern about calls made by the PST have children and families service in Trondheim after New Year conducted two concern talks with youth with nascent sympathy for extremist Islamic State (IS). One of the conversations was with a teenage girl.

– It is important to emphasize that concern calls carried out as a preventive measure with people it is directed towards a worry. It is not a punishment. We use conversation to put together information we already have, so as to form a holistic perspective, says Terje Lunde.

PST estimates that about 80 people have traveled from Norway to Syria, and a large number of these should have joined the IS. (© NTB)
