It was Sunday morning a man was confirmed dead after he was found in Nidelva.
– We suspect currently not a crime. It is enough if an accident, says correctional guard leader Bård Jakobsen at crime guard in South Trøndelag Police NTB Sunday evening.
The man, who is a foreign national, is still not identified, said Jakobsen.
After the man was found at 07:30 am Sunday, continued the search in Nidelva. The reason was that the police could not rule out that several people had ended up in the river. On Sunday evening, however, the search ended.
– We now have no reason to believe that more people have ended up in the river, said operations manager Rune Brandmo in Rogaland Police District. (© NTB)
