Pole experiencing their biggest sales decline in 20 years – Aftenposten

– We must indeed back to the early 90th century, during the great downturn in the Norwegian economy, to find the corresponding decline in terms of sales, says Kai G. Henriksen, CEO Vinmonopolet to TV 2.

In July last year increased tax allowances, and sales plunged. Since March, sales have been 5 percent lower than a year earlier.

– One reason is probably that there has been some bad weather in May and cold in many parts of the country. When people drink less. The second reason is probably increased cross-border, says Henriksen.

When the weather is bad, more spending free time to go to Sweden to act. Figures from Statistics Norway show that cross-border shopping has increased by 10 percent so far this year.
