(Dagbladet): A 22-year-old man has been arrested after a 18 year old woman early Saturday contacted police and told that she had been raped in Vikedal there this weekend held Vikedal Roots Music Festival, writes Haugesund Avis.
The man was arrested after a 18 year old woman contacted police and told that she had been raped, said Haugaland and Sunnhordland police Saturday morning.
– The rape allegedly took place in a car near Vikedal church. Aggrieved contacted a police patrol at the site, said operations manager André Scram Hansen Haugaland and Sunnhordland police told the newspaper.
Police said the newspaper that the arrested 22-year-old will be questioned during the Saturday.
Jarle Nes is Festival Director at Vikedal Roots. The place where the rape allegedly occurred is about 10 minutes walk from the festival site.
– It was terrible to hear. Vikedal church is just outside the center and is not the place where it is most through traffic. We have professional guards and innleigde police guards circulating at the festival and in the center, but we did not manage to cover the whole village, says Nes.
The woman is sent for examination at a rape.
