Male (42) was found pulseless arrest in Tromso. Life could not save – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): Friday 17th of July approximately at 1550 in the afternoon, a man was found pulseless arrest in Tromso.

– The ambulance was summoned, and lifesaving were implemented, but life could not be saved. The employee was inserted into custody approximately at 1445 pursuant to the Police Act § 9 to have been drunk and for disturbing the peace, writes Ole Bredrup Sæverud Police in Tromso, in a press release.

Norwegian Bureau for the Investigation of Police Affairs was notified Friday afternoon and arrived Tromsø to investigate the death.

– This is a regular routine when someone dies in police custody, says Sæverud Dagbladet. He informs that the man will be autopsied, probably on Monday.

As he writes in the press release put 42-year-old in jail in just over an hour. Conditions around grossing was not dramatic. Now Norwegian Bureau for the Investigation of Police Affairs to investigate whether the procedures are followed up.

– There will be a topic for investigation to the special unit on the assessments made were good enough, considering his health condition when he was brought in . We have procedures for monitoring, but we’ve been good enough here, it will be investigated, says Sæverud.

He thinks that the incident is incredibly sad. He describes lucrative as quite ordinary, and that this in itself was not dramatic.

– It’s a shock. Unfortunately, such deaths occur periodically in Norway, but I can not remember that this has happened here in Tromsø in my time, says Sæverud.
