Landslides brought up several buildings in Sogn – Dagbladet.no

Dagbladet / NTB: The 200 meter wide landslide occurred at 9:30 o’clock in Krundalen, a side valley in Luster in Luster municipality, newspaper Bergens Tidende.

It should be between 70 and 80 people in the area, but no people should have been taken off the slide.

May have brought animals

– It’s been a landslide that has brought two, three outbuildings. It is a distance from where people live, but there are possibly some sheep that is taken by the landslide, says Stig Inge Hauge, operations manager at Sogn og Fjordane police told Dagbladet.

He also says that there should be no danger that it may take several landslides today.

BT has talked to Tom Kreken, who live just below where soil avalanche stopped.

– it is just luck. There are many animals and several outbuildings that were taken by the landslide. Fortunately no people. I saw several outbuildings that were taken, but no houses people live in, he said to the newspaper.

– Divided in the middle

He describes a violent blow before it slid down the mountain.

– The slide parted in the middle, now says some animals stuck between the river and the slide. There are ten animals who are trapped. I have just got up three sheep from the river, but expects that some sheep were taken by the landslide, says Kreken the newspaper.

Not long after the avalanche went notified the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) increasing avalanche danger.

– This as a consequence of the expected rainfall in the next few days, says brigt Samdal, regional manager of NVE, to BT.
