Norwegian Islamist prosecuted after car chase and shooting – Aftenposten

The four comrades are also indicted for serious threats and violations of the Firearms Act after the incident on 14 February 2012, writes VG.

According to the newspaper ran the four comrades at high speed by another car through several streets in the area between Greenland and Frogner in Oslo. In the car they pursued put a 29 year old man and a 25 year old woman.

According to the indictment fired several shots pursuers with a handgun towards the vehicle ahead. In addition, the four men have spawned death threats and driven into the car, the newspaper said.

– How indictment is designed, so it is described as a car chase where there is use of weapons and where both parties have directed or fired several shots at each other in the center of Oslo, says police lawyer Asmund Riegelsville by organized crime division of the Oslo police.

Riegelsville not want to provide information about the background of the conflict, but according to the VG information should have been a ongoing conflict between one of the defendants and the 29-year-old man in the car they hunted.

The 25-year-old Islamist comes from Østfold and went to Syria in 2013. The police assume that the man is still in the country and the indictment is not served on him.
