It is probably greatly injured after a tanker with 16,500 liters of gasoline lost hanger inside the tunnel, which led to a huge explosion.
Continued smoke
Thursday morning bust still some smoke coming out of the tunnel. The smoke is probably because the fan system is up and running again.
– Smoke divers from the fire department will enter first, and see if it is possible for Road Administration to come in to check the extent of damage, says chief engineer of NPRA Arild Petter Søvik said.
The expected major damage. Probably the pressure wave has been so powerful that everything is total destroyed in the fire area.

– It was very high temperatures inside the tunnel, so probably are parts of the structure injured. There has certainly been much fallout of rock in the tunnel, and there is a need for securing the structure, says Søvik.
According to TV2 reporter on site traffic in the area greatly affected by yesterday’s explosion.
