There is an increase in the number of cases and Mediation in Hedmark had 10 children while serving their sentence in the first half.
226 cases so far this year totals 14 more cases than the same time last year – that’s an increase of 6.5%. The cases are distributed among 118 criminal cases, 18 civil dismissed cases from police and 90 civil cases.
A strong increase in civil cases characterize half statistics from Mediation in Hedmark.
Positive for Hedmark
90 cases so far this year amounts to 44 more cases than the same period last year – an increase of 95%. Mediation in Hedmark stand out positively in relation to country statistics in this area.
A total of 307 impugned been Mediation in Hedmark YTD. Number of persons distributed among 102 women and 205 men. Nearly 19 percent of the impugned are aged from 15 to 18 years.
Since July 1 last year, mediation boards had responsibility for the sentence of young people under 18 who have committed serious or repeated crimes.
– In Hedmark no youngsters so far been sentenced youth center and 4 received reaction youth follow. Two youths have been assessed in relation to youth penalty but was sentenced to a conditional sentence because of suitability, says adviser Mediation in Hedmark, Siri Great Moen.
Mediation in Hedmark has had a total of 10 young people under sentence in the period 01.01.15- 06.30.15, 1 has broken.

Increase in the number of cases
On a national level there has been an increase in the number of cases. 3876 cases so far this year amounts to 421 more cases than the same time last year. Number violence cases has increased from 764 cases to 939 cases, while the number of drug cases increased from 32 cases last year to 124 cases so far in 2015.
– The land plan has 160 youngsters been sentenced to the new youth reactions. 134 youth have received follow-up, while 26 are sentenced to youth punishment, says Stormoen.
Mediation in Norway has 22 National Mediation with 550 brokers.
