A 82 years old man from Porsgrunn is declared dead after falling into a river in Skien, Telemark Police announced on Twitter Sunday. 16.05.
He fell after an ailment.
All emergency services were on the spot and it was performed lifesaving at the man. It is not yet clear whether the man drowned.
He was one of two people who went into the water. The incident occurred in the river down from the ridge in Grønnrødvegen.
– The man had a bad heart and lung disease. It was his wife who reported to 113 and tried to get him on land, says operations Aadne Røilid Telemark Police District told VG.
The woman’s condition is good.
