Cohens manager: – He died in his sleep after a fall – Folkebladet

Los Angeles (NTB-TT-AP): Leonard Cohen fallen asleep after he had fallen in the middle of the night in his home in Los Angeles, says his manager.

His death was sudden, unexpected and peaceful, ” says Cohens manager, Robert B. Kory.

the Manager says, moreover, that Cohen died 7. november, three days before his death was made public. Cohen was buried in his hometown of Montreal on the same day as his death was announced.

The legendary singer, songwriter and poet behind the songs such as “Hallelujah”, “Bird on a wire”, “Suzanne” and “So, Long Marianne” – a song he wrote to the Norwegian Marianne Ihlen, who was Cohens girlfriend in the 1960s.

as late as in the autumn was Cohens latest album, “You Want it fax menu”, released. It was his 14. album. (©NTB)
