- A lively guy

Where he also got many of their closest friends, and one who has not forgotten the murder of his friend, Øyvind Bratlie Skaare.

- He was a mate I was well acquainted with the after each. He was a lively guy seeking socializing. He found more new friends. In addition, he was an extremely rettferdighetsmenneske, he says to Dagbladet.

Skaare has today talked with Bråtens parents, who enlightened him about the arrest of a 32-year-old who was arrested in Oslo today. The 32-year-old is charged with murder or complicity to murder. The man’s defense, Vidar Lind Iversen, says to Dagbladet that his client refuses straffskyld.

- I, and very many of medsupportere and friends in Leeds-the environment has talked about this murder since it happened 14 years ago. We will very much like that it should be cleared up, ” says Skaare.

Surprise

his Phone has not stood still in the day, almost to the day 14 years after his friend was found killed just outside the hybelgården where he lived in Oslo.

- It is very surprising and a terrible relief that it is someone who is indicted and arrested now, even if we don’t take anything for granted. Regardless of whether the person is the right person or not, gives me greater faith that the matter can be cleared up, ” he says.

He thinks at the same time the timing was weird. The first few years he had much contact with Bråtens parents. A contact that has declined after each. Yet he met them when the Leeds-fans held a tiårsmarkering in 2012. A few weeks ago, he visited the Bråtens grave in this County with their parents, a place he has not been since he bore the ark of the 23-åringens funeral.

- It is strange that it happens right now. At the same time, I heard that the man who’s now been arrested was called as a witness three years ago. Then I wonder why it happened only three years ago and not earlier, ” he says.

- the Wrong place at the wrong time

Skaare has followed closely all that has been written and said about it which is one of the major drapsgåtene in Oslo in 2000-century. Two persons who shall have pursued after Bråten home on drapsnatta, was considered as very central in the investigation. They have been seen together with drapsofferet a very short time before he was killed.

Police say they do not believe the indicted man and Bråten had no relation. Police believe he may have been the victim of a random robbery.

I have never believed there was any relation. I have always thought that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, ” he says.

He has faith that the matter can be cleared up now, and is happy with the effort the police put down.

I know that this matter has all kind of problems on the police for a long time. When Grete Lien Metlid took over as chief of the section for domestic violence and seksuallovbrudd, I knew that this was not something that came to end up in the outbox on the desk. I think they have taken this matter seriously all the way. It has been quiet at times, but it is not possible to have full pressure on the such case in 14 years, ” he says.
